- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Tea Leaves
- 4–5 Tulsi Leaves
- 1 small piece Mulethi (licorice)
- Sugar and Milk to taste
Instructions
- Rinse tulsi leaves and lightly crush them to release their aroma. Break mulethi into a small piece if not already cut.

- Stir in tea leaves and continue simmering for another 1–2 minutes, depending on how strong you like your brew.
- Add milk and sugar (optional): For a richer chai, add a splash of milk and sugar to taste. Stir well and let it simmer briefly until the color deepens.
- Strain into a heatproof mug or glass, discarding the leaves and mulethi.
- Garnish beautifully (optional): Float a fresh tulsi leaf on top or sprinkle a pinch of cardamom for an aromatic finish.
- Enjoy steaming hot — soothing, mildly sweet, and full of natural warmth.
