- 240 ml Water
- 240 ml Milk
- 2 tsp Black Tea Leaves
- 1 -Inch Piece Fresh Ginger, Crushed
- 2 -3 Green Cardamom Pods, Crushed
- 1 -2 Whole Cloves
- 1 small Cinnamon Stick
- Sugar To Taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Add the crushed ginger, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick. simmer for 2 minutes to infuse.
- Add the black tea leaves and simmer for 1 minute.
- Pour in the milk and bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Strain the chai into mugs.
- Add sugar to taste and serve hot.
